Dental trauma

Fractured teeth or teeth that have come completely out of the mouth (avulsed) need immediate and expert treatment for the best prognosis.

The avulsed tooth should be handled by its upper part (the crown), not by its root. Flush it with water but do not rub the root. Then, if possible, place it directly into place (socket)
If you cannot place it, time is of the essence. Seek emergency care to have the tooth put back in place (reimplantation). Ideally, the tooth should be reimplanted within 30 minutes.
